There are several ways can you tailor Ghostwriter to your tastes. In Spell Catcher's Preferences window, click the Ghostwriter icon in the toolbar to view its preferences.
Choose Create a file for each document if you'd like Ghostwriter to generate a separate backup file for each document window in each program. This will cause Ghostwriter to create more files, but may help you more quickly identify the file that has the text you're after - if you know the name of the document you were working on.
Choose Create just one file per application if you'd like Ghostwriter to create only one text file per program (per day), instead of creating separate text files for each window of each program.
The text files that Ghostwriter creates preserve your typing are extremely small; they won't be overrunning your hard drive space anytime soon. Still, Ghostwriter stands ready to delete files automatically as they become increasingly older. Use the "After" box to indicate how old file should become before they are automatically deleted - 30 days, for example. You might also use the "smaller than" control to let Ghostwriter automatically delete text files that contain very little text, and that are therefore of little value to you.
